You Know You’re in Forensics When….

You know you’re in forensics when…..

*You walk by people talking to walls and think nothing of it

*You go to a school you don’t go to on a Saturday…for fun

*You refer to people by their pieces instead of their real names

* You feel natural having a conversation with someone with out ever making  eye contact

*You know that Ford Fest has nothing to do with cars

* You know that Chemic Classic has nothing to do with science

*You know other schools’ “other” mascots

*You sometimes have to remind yourself on Saturdays that it really is ok to make physical contact with someone else

*You hear the word Mackinac and all you can think about it what new piece you will be doing

*Before any presentation, you have a strong desire to say ask “Judge ready? Timer ready?”

*You can improvise more than 5 different ways to nap using chairs/stools/ team memebers etc

*Your eyes have evolved to allow you to read in low levels of light due to last minute memorizing on the bus in the morning and critique sheets at night

*You know that officially “a stool is a stool is a stool” but really its so much more than that

*You wouldn’t mind if your  teachers just assigned everyone a letter/number combination instead of writing their name

*You see 30 seconds as a large block of time

*You know at least 2 ways to represent a countdown a of one minute and/or 10 seconds using various configurations of hand/finger/knuckle/card symbols

* And you can do it without looking at your hands because you’re watching the stopwatch
