Dear Team Members,

I want to thank you all for being so understanding with my schedule this past weekend. I know that many of you blocked out time (which is not an easy task I know) and then I had to cancel on you. My deepest apologies. For those of you I was able to meet with on Friday evening, I have a record of your ‘balance’ if you would like to know what you made. Overall in terms of sales, we did ok. The weather was kinda icky this past weekend so that played a big part too.

Assuming the school gives us the green light, I would like to sell cotton candy at lunch time the two days before Halloween (Monday and Tues) and then on Halloween itself.  Those of you I had to cancel on will have first go at signing up for this event. I will also need people to sign up to sell at lunch. Let me go over my ’selling at lunch’ policies:

~Be on time. Not only on getting to the table, but on getting to your next class. I can NOT write you passes. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get where you need to be when you need to be there.

~Be courteous. We are working in a common space with our fellow students – not enemies. Beyond that, you will always win more customers that way.

~Be neat. No one wants to buy anything from someplace that looks sloppy. Beyond that-school personal (principals and janitors alike) should not have to pick up behind you. Cleaning up is part of doing the job right.

~Be creative! Posters will need to be made to be put on the table and windows and heaven knows that I can’t draw. Also, the key in making the cotton candy really sell is ‘hawking’ it. If you can come up with a slogan, you sell twice as much.

Mr LaBelle will be putting signup sheets for lunch and ‘making’ out side Mrs AY’s room.

Also remember that no fundraising ‘credit’ is given for selling at lunch. This is simply just being part of the team. Credit is earned through the actual ‘making’ of the product.

Next item of business: I am still missing t-shirt designs!!!!! Get those creative juices flowing!

Also, I still need parent letters, bus slips, and $5 dollars from many of you. I will be in on Friday this week. PLEASE COME SEE ME!!!!!!! Even if you just want to say hi…I like to see your shining faces  :-)

Alright. Keep in touch, and I’ll see you all on friday.

Ms C
